Molecular changes arising from lapatinib treatment on breast cancer cell lines were examined using whole genome microarrays. Protein-protein and protein-gene interactions involving AKT and genes downstream of AKT were identified using the Ingenuity Pathways Knowledge base, TransFac, TRRD, and HPRD databases. Positive-interacting proteins are connected by red arrows, negative-interacting proteins are connected by green arrows, and protein-DNA binding interactions are indicated by black arrows. Kinases are shown in yellow, enzymes in red, and transcription factors in teal. Genes that do not represent a particular target class are shown in grey. For details, see Hegde et al. in this issue.
